Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac was the lone player to stand during the national anthem on Friday as his teammates and Brooklyn Nets players knelt to protest racial injustice and police brutality.Isaac was the lone person out of the first three games of the NBA’s restarted season.

He also didn’t wear a Black Lives Matter shirt and instead chose to stand with his arms at his back with his Magic jersey showing. It’s also worth noting that Isaac was ruled out for the rest of the season in February after suffering a significant knee injury in January. He was able to play because of the time lapse between the injury and the NBA restarting the season.

He checked into the game wearing a giant white leg brace on his left leg.It wasn’t immediately clear why Isaac chose to stand while his other teammates knelt. In June, Isaac was asked about the protests following the police-involved death of George Floyd. He told Click Orlando: “Just because we are in the position of being an NBA player, it doesn't give us automatically an understanding or insight to issues that happen around us. But I think because we have the ear of so many it's important for us to be diligent, to be vocal, but in a balanced way.”Magic ownership praised the players' decision to kneel.

"The DeVos Family and the Orlando Magic organization fully supports Magic players who have chosen to leverage their professional platform to send a peaceful and powerful message condemning bigotry, racial injustice and the unwarranted use of violence by police, especially against people of color. We are proud of the positive impact our players have made and join with them in the belief that sports can bring people together – bridging divides and promoting inclusion, equality, diversity and unity. We know this is not about the military, the men and women who serve honorably to keep our communities safe for all, or those who have paid the ultimate price to provide freedom, including freedom of expression.

We’re confident the entire Magic family has immense respect for these entities and individuals. This is about coming together to end racism once and for all. We are committed to walking alongside our players – today and in the many days ahead – in the pursuit of lasting and impactful change," the team said. The Magic are fighting for a playoff spot.

Yeah, why does he have to suck dick because his coworkers choose to suck dick? Can u imagine if a white person stood? holy moly

Kneeling for the anthem - still waiting to see how this has any positive impact on black lives - go out and do something - make an impact - not a fashion statement

I think he just wants more done. Doesn’t think wearing a shirt is making a difference. That’s understandable

Maybe ur not so dumb after all - and wearing a shirt makes as much difference as taking a knee - it doesn't do shit other than divide the country - Lebron built a school in his hometown - thinking that has a little impact than the whole knee thingy

I think taking a knee is good. I support it. You take a knee in the military at times as a sign of respect. Outstanding these fine gentlemen in sports take a knee respecting their country. You take a knee to show submission. Brilliant, these fine men are taking a knee in submission to good ole USA. You take a knee to God in submission. Taking a knee is a sign of honoring. Hell keep kneeling who cares.

Kap was too stupid imo to know what he was doing. Turn your back on the flag would have been the best thing to do. But now I just laugh at all these clowns who take a knee. If they were real smart then they would take a knee every time they are stopped by police to bring awareness to injustice. I have said for years they need a new law that supports BLM awareness and anytime you are stopped by police we should take a knee. Man I bet taking a knee would solve a bunch of police problems. And if the black man doesn’t want to take a knee upon being stopped by police and the white man does. Then it’s obvious the white man supports BLM and police injustice while the blacks are racists in not supporting BLM or too privileged to acknowledge police injustice among the black lives.

Drew said he would take a knee knee and his ass better be a man of his word. No turning back now since somebody else has balls to stand and now made it acceptable. Own it Drew and kneel to your country you weak chump!

No sir, he does NOT support the organization . These are his EXACT quotes. He knows just as well as you know that
the organization is a sham and is not about helping black lives. It is also propaganda how media will use capitalization when printing his direct quotes (ieBlack Lives Matter and the word Black), as if he were talking about the organization when he is actually not.
Very subtle yet very manipulative.

"I believe that Black Lives Matter. A lot went into my decision, and part of it is, I thought that kneeling or wearing the Black Lives Matter t-shirt doesn't go hand-in-hand with supporting Black lives. So I felt like, just me personally, what is that I believe is taking on a stance that, I do believe that Black lives matter, but I just felt like it was a decision that I had to make, and I didn't feel like putting that shirt on and kneeling went hand in hand with supporting Black lives. I believe that for myself, my life has been supported by gospel, Jesus Christ, and everyone is made in the image of God and that we all forge through God's glory.

Each and every one of us do things that we shouldn't do and say things that we shouldn't say. We hate and dislike things that we shouldn't hate and dislike, and sometimes it gets to a point where we point fingers, whose evil is worse, and sometimes it comes down to whose evil is most visible. So I felt like I wanted to take a stand on, we all make mistakes, but I think that the gospel of Jesus Christ is that there's grace for us, and that Jesus came and died for our sins and that if we all come to an understanding of that and that God wants to have a relationship with us, that we can get kept all of the things in our world that our messed up, jacked up.
I think when you look around, racism isn't the only thing that plagues our society, that plagues our nation, that plagues our world, and I think coming together on that message that we want to get past not only racism but everything that plagues as us as a society, I feel like the answer to that is gospel."

Since black lives matter was painted on the NBA courts, Portland riots have actually throttled down. There could be a correlation other than most of the hoodlums in Portland are white and NBA messaging doesn't make any difference to anyone, but the agents. Someone needs to let Lebron know how he feels about Isaac.

Yesterday rioters tore off wood barriers from nearby businesses & started fires in the street.
They burnt Bibles and US flags.
Tonight they attacked the SE precinct, throwing glass bottles & other projectiles at officers.
One was hit in the head.

He's still misguided then. BLM supports violence and single family households. Don't believe me? It's on their website.
